Public art is a conversation in which all of us have a voice – an essential and dynamic dialogue inspired by artists who live and work among us.
How many times have you passed the kissing couple at Percival Landing?
We funded the artist who created this much-loved icon of our community…and we also funded the artists who brought these creative ideas to life:
- Otter sculpture in the Olympia Library
- Whale sculpture on Percival Landing
- O.B. Simonis’ sculpture at Lacey City Hall
- Sharing sculpture at the Lacey Public Library
- Simon Kogan's maternal figure at Percival Landing
- Simon Kogan's wheat sculpture on the Capitol Campus
The expressive power of their sculpture and structures connect us to beauty and ask us to think about the way we are.
We fund raise. We fund. We make a difference.
Here in South Sound, POSSCA is an active participant in the development and promotion of thoughtful and visually stunning pieces of public art. And, every year, we support the activities of local arts organizations for performance and facility improvements.
The $15,000 to $25,000 we distribute makes an enormous difference. The local theater, music and performance spaces you enjoy most are there, in part, because POSSCA and its committed donors make it happen.
Donate now to keep art alive in our community.
